SixtyOne restaurant is a super glamorous spot near to Marble Arch in London which has launched itself into the exciting world of unlimited Prosecco Sunday brunches!
They’ve split their brunch menu into two halves: savouries and sweets. Of course, Prosecco is flowing – limitlessly for35 pounds all in.
I kicked off with the classic eggs benedict – one of my favourite dishes and one I tend to judge quite harshly. It was actually very good – the egg yolk was runny in that naughty, oozing little way that gets me all excited when you first stick your fork in it – and it was served on these cracking little English muffins that were clearly homemade.
I also tried their signature club sandwich. This sounds rather dull but was actually probably the cheffiest sandwich I’ve ever seen. Salty, soft ham hock with crisp baby gem delicately dressed, and scrummy little tomatoes!
Their sweet menu brought me fluffy American style pancakes with blueberries and a artfully plated chocolate fondant with honey comb, praline and delicate little chocolate shards. The fondant oozed and melted exactly like it was meant to.
SixtyOne Restaurant is a solid addition to the Prosecco Sunday brunch London line up. It’s not going to be as boozy or wild as other places, but if you’re looking for somewhere refined to sit, sip and stuff yourself, it’s a good choice. 7/10.
